Much in the same way that taking calculators into maths exams and the way we can just search for a sum in Google or the Wolfram Alpha browser could be considered cheating, I am going to cheat slightly here and refer you to the wonderful thread below by Todd Smith.
Apologies for the images, but the whole thread warrants a wider look and I can’t work out how to do embed it properly.
All of this is presented as a way of saying that I had two rejections/Declined submissions this week. One from Bath Magg and one from Finished Creatures, but both were very kind and so the usual feeling of being crushed is strangely absent.
It’s also acted as a reminder to do something with the data that Algebra of Owls published recently. I’ve converted the image to tables, but have yet to analyse them. I wonder if I can use the data to test Todd’s theory.
Another plus that came from reading the thread is finding Todd’s work. I very much enjoyed this poem on Todd’s site and will be seeking out some more.
While submissions are still being discussed, I’d urge to sign up to Robin’s mailing list for a collection of places to submit and of course, it’s also always worth a look at Angela Carr’s monthly update.
